Re. Announcement of Strategic Alliance
I am happy to announce that Port Consolidated, Inc. and Total Truck Parts, Inc.
have established the formation of a Strategic Alliance. The purpose of this new
relationship will be to provide our respective customers better service at a
lower cost. Both companies are premier suppliers of truck related products in
South Florida, but focus on different product areas. I believe that by each
company increasing its focus on its core products, we will improve delivery
response times and fill rates. This should translate to lower costs to our
customers.
Although the two companies will remain separate, we will work together to help
our customers find the best solution to their filtration and lubrication product
requirements. Beginning on June 28th, Total Truck Parts, Inc. will deliver and
invoice your filter product requirements. Every effort has been made to achieve
a smooth transfer, including the continuation of pricing discounts. Joint sales
calls will be made to your location by the Port Consolidated, Inc. and the Total
Truck Parts, Inc. sales people to answer any questions you may have. Since Total
Truck Parts, Inc. maintains a large inventory of Fram Filters in each of its
branches, we expect no interruptions of supply during this transition. In
addition, Port Consolidated, Inc will also be the primary supplier to Total
Truck Parts, Inc. for its lubrication products that will be available to
customers in all branches.
Attached to this letter is a list of Total Truck Parts, Inc. locations and key
personnel. Directions to our branches can be found on our web site,
www.totaltruckparts.net. For those customers who have open credit accounts with
Port Consolidated, but not with Total Truck Parts, Inc., I have provided standby
open credit. I have attached a credit application for open credit that will need
to be returned in thirty days. If you are sales tax exempt, we will also need a
2004 Sales Tax Exemption Certificate. Please contact our credit department if
you have any question.
